Over the last seven years our first production, In the Night Garden Live (ItNGL), has toured across the UK in a purpose-built inflatable theatre and has been seen by over 800,000 people. In 2017, ItNGL tours again to 4 venues in London, Birmingham and Manchester.

Role summary

We are recruiting fantastic, friendly Front of House Staff to look after our audiences during their visit to the In the Night Garden Live (ItNGL) Showdome in both Blackheath and Richmond Old Deer Park. Customer service is extremely important to us and your contribution will be crucial to the experience our audiences have at ItNGL. Ideally, candidates will have experience of FOH work in a theatre or event environment, but you must have some experience of customer service. You should be friendly, confident, numerate, a good communicator, good with people and be able to show initiative in dealing with customer queries. Supervisor roles in the Front of House team are available, and we’re looking to fill these positions from the pool of Front of House applicants.

Dates and hours:

We are looking for staff with excellent availability to work at both our London venues. Please specify on your application which venue(s) you would like to be considered for.

In Blackheath all staff will be required required for training on Wednesday 24 May 2017 and need to be available for work until Saturday 10 June 2017. Performances start on Thursday 25 May 2017.

In Richmond all staff will be required for training on Friday 16 June 2017 and need to be available for work until Wednesday 5 July 2017. Performances start on Saturday 17 June 2017.

On each performance day there are 4 performances at 10:00, 12:00, 14.00 and 16.00, so you will need to be available until 6.30pm each day. Shifts will vary and you will be given a minimum of 1 day off per week.

Fee and expenses

Pay for Stewards is £7.75 per hour and for Supervisors is £8.25 per hour, which is based on you working all of your scheduled shifts (if you miss a shift you’ll be paid £7.50 per hour).

We are recruiting skin performers for our Front of House ‘Meet a Character’ Experience (MaC), at both our Blackheath and Richmond venues. We are looking for performers with experience of working in full character costume, and particularly those who have experience in working with children. In order to fit our costumes, performers must be of slim build and between 5’1’’ and 5’5’’ in height.

Dates and hours:

We are looking for staff with excellent availability to work at both our London venues. Please specify on your application which venue(s) you would like to be considered for.

In Blackheath performers will be required for training and costume fitting on Wednesday 24 May 2017 and need to be available for work until Saturday 10 June 2017. Performances start on Thursday 25 May 2017.

Contact Centre Agents – London

Minor Entertainment was created in 2009 to make spectacular family theatre events in unique spaces. We enjoy the creative and commercial freedom that comes from owning every aspect of the audience journey. Our first production, In the Night Garden Live, has toured the UK in its own inflatable theatre for seven consecutive summers and has been seen by over 800,000 people.

At the beginning of 2017 we launched a contact centre to handle the customer enquiries and telephone sales for In the Night Garden Live. We’re looking for friendly and organised Contact Centre Agents to join our team. Our office and contact centre is near London Bridge, and you can find out more about us here.

Role summary

As the first point of contact for families interested in attending the show you will be a crucial part of delivering an exceptional all round experience for our audiences, so it’s very important that you care about customer service as much as we do. You’ll handle incoming calls and help make bookings, answer questions and arrange exchanges, as well as assisting customers with their access needs. You’ll will also help process tickets and assist with other ticketing and customer service tasks, including outbound calls.

Dates and hours:

From May 2017 we’ll be increasing our contact centre staffing levels to reflect the increased call volumes expected while In the Night Garden Live is on tour.

Shifts may vary, but will run from 09:00 – 18:00 during the week, and 09:00 – 17:00 on weekends. There are many hours available until the end of August 2017.

Fee and expenses

Pay is £8.50 per hour, unless you’re responsible for opening and closing the office on the weekend or bank holidays, in which case you’ll earn £9.50 per hour.

This role is subject to a 1 month probationary period.

We are embarking on a development period for a new production. We need an experienced general manager / development producer who can join us in our London Bridge office.
